As a born and raised South Carolina artist, I like to paint subjects that are close to my heart. In the South that opens up a lot of opportunity to capture it's charm.
I use different mediums, such as acrylics and pastels. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style. When I see the subject, it's then that I determine the medium I will use.
Inspiration to me is like a force of nature and when it strikes, there's no letting go until the creative process is complete. It's a passion filled ride where you are in a world of your own that can sometimes last for days. But nothing is more satisfying than fulfilling that drive.
